What has caused us to replace them has been the chargers not staying in place, and the 1 button getting too hard to press.The new charging cable is way more secure, so that is a huge plus. The addition of up and down intensity buttons separate from a pattern button is also a huge improvement. Nothing was more frustrating with the old version than hitting the button to get more intensity and have it switch to a pattern, having to toggle through all the patterns, then start building all over again.The change in the handle is the only thing we aren't sure about. We are big fans of silicone lubricant, and I dont know how the cover will hold up to that.Definitely worth the money to upgrade.
