When cleaning, you do have to get in there and stretch it out, but with regular pump hand soap, they cleaned up easily and thorough. At first, I had trouble getting the inserts into the plastic holder, but when you tap it on the end, they slide right down. So, far, there is not loss of shape or texture, so I expect they should last a while. Good product for the cost!
