I had to get this in the translucent blue color, it is just too cool for words! The length, thickness, and shape are appropriate for beginners and casual use - this is not going to push anyone's physical limits, however it's very comfortable and easy to hold onto even when coated with lubricant, thanks to the suction cup knob at the end.I was initially concerned that the transparent silicone rubber was more "grippy" than "slippy" right out of the box (the more lifelike tinted models have a much less tacky-feeling surface) however it was plenty slippery with water-based lube applied, and the lube stayed in place and didn't require refreshing during during a 30-minute session. It also cleans up very well, and has no detectable plastic odor even right out of the box.The suction cup is convenient for attaching to smooth flat surfaces (horizontal and vertical), but it's not strong enough to hold in place during vigorous activity. The material is softer and more pliant than one may imagine, but it is plenty firm to satisfy in a more gentle context. It's not really "main event" -- more like a supporting prop. And for less than $6 ($5.99 at time of review) it is a killer bargain.
