Let me start off by saying that I am fairly experienced with anal toys, although I would classify myself as intermediate (the largest diameter that I have been able to use comfortably up to this point has been around 2" because of my pelvic anatomy), so I knew this one might be a challenge. First, one reviewer said that the manufacturer finally got the length past the knot right on this one. I completely agree as I have purchased several with smaller knots that I was able to pop in with just a little effort, but they pop right back out which is not what you want. The knot on this one is not symmetrical in diameter (rather oval) and that is important to know because it may help with getting past the knot. The knot measures 2 3/8" at its widest, and 2 3/16" at its narrowest (My ruler is a little off in the photos because I was holding it and taking the photo at the same time). I opened it today and immediately tried it out, and found that I was having trouble in several ways. It was big and I felt like it was stopping at the knot with no progress. Additionally, because it is very soft it was compressing under my weight as I pushed down harder to get it in. Finally, I was getting stuck because the widest part was stopping agains the sides of my pelvic opening. So, I took deep breathes and relaxed, added LOTS of lube over and over, turned the dildo sideways so the narrowest portion was against the sides of my opening and the widest portion was front to back, and each time I pressed down and felt it squish up I would lift up slightly to get it to uncompress then work back down a bit at a time. When it finally went in it was a nice pop and then the sensation was amazing! I could have stayed like that for hours, even tempted to walk around the house with it in, but after about ten minutes I decided to try popping it out and that was fairly easy compared to going in. I won't say there was no discomfort, both going in and out, but it was minimal and no damage was done. That said, in a cost benefit analysis the small amount of discomfort is well worth the large amount of pleasure, at least for me. After a shower I do not feel any more sore than my usual escapades with large dildos, but I don't see doing this one on a daily basis. I'll save it for the occasional walk on the wild side. I highly recommend this dildo, and yes, it is an affordable Bad Dragon.
