As far as it being 8.54 inches, understand that is the measurement of the entire length of the dildo. Only 6.51 inches are considered insertable. This makes for a nice length for a beginner. As for where this really shines, it has to do with the dual-density silicone. This is a wonderfully soft, but springy material that helps to make the dildo more life-like. It's an excellent feeling.
